Hi,

Doubleclick can be a little tricky.

You don't need an "apiAddress" for Doubleclick with the newer versions of OVA (e.g. RC5), you just configure it with a static ad tag using the "direct" server type in OVA.

Here's an example of a Doubleclick setup:

{
    "ads": {
         "schedule": [
               {
                    "position": "pre-roll",
                    "tag": "put-your-doubleclick-ad-tag-in-here"
               }
         ]
    }
}

The ad tag will look something like:

http://ad.doubleclick.net/pfadx/N270.126913.6102203221521/B3876671.21;dcadv=2215309;sz=0x0;ord=%5btimestamp%5d;dcmt=text/xml

You need to get the VAST ad tag from Doubleclick. That's where it seems to get tricky. In some countries/cases, Doubleclick don't provide a VAST ad tag that can be used with Open plugins such as OVA.

They prefer you to use the Google IMA plugin with Doubleclick in many cases. If you try to get a VAST ad tag and they won't provide it, then the chances are that you'll have to use the IMA plugin.

If you do get a Doubleclick VAST ad tag, then make sure you run at least RC5 from the OVA developer site. To get RC5, go to http://developer.longtailvideo.com/ova, register on there and then grab the RC5 or RC6 SWF from the "Download the Latest" page...

Hope this helps,

Paul

Do you happen to know in which section of DRP web page the VAST ad tag can be found if it's there?

I'm trying to get a pre-roll and a few overlays on my web tv (www.louve.tv), a Brazillian web site, which need portuguese ads.
OVA with DFP seemed to be the best solution.
I cannot see a IMA plugin demo page or a trial download.

Would you suggest other ad network?
