Hi,

Not sure - i just logged in there to check all was ok and it seems to be, but perhaps something has happened with your account. Would you mind emailing me directly on "enquiries@openvideoads.org" and I'll quickly sort it out directly with you?

Oh, actually, looking at the title of your thread, now I'm really confused.. "dev1.longtailvideo.com:80" - that's extremely strange. You should never be trying to grab a file/page from that type of domain.

All the OVA developer site URLS should be along the lines of:

"developer.longtailvideo.com ...."

Definitely email me - seems something has gone wrong for you somewhere along the lines...

thanks .. I just "re-read" the doc from the beginning .. and solved all issues
( I had some trouble in getting ads served... but realize that I did a global change of 'zone' to 'area' in my code , and this also changed the schedule ''zone' reserved word...

in development , I am now using :
'plugins': {
'http://static.openvideoads.org/qa/rc6-final/ova.jwplayer.5x/dist/swf/ova-jw.swf': {
and it's running fine ..... is that right until going in prod ?
(we'll obviously buy the commercial license by this time)

btw :
"dev1.longtailvideo.com:80" is the url link in the LongTail page ...

http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/open-video-ads/ova-for-jw-player-5/13162/getting-started

paragraph 4 - 3;B
"Download and install the OVA plugin (ova.swf) in the appropriate place .."

Finally hope OVA HTML5 will come soon fir testing, we'll be using the JWPlayer fallback...

Hey ...

Gosh - thanks for pointing out that link in the page. I'll get that fixed ASAP today. Apologies for that frustrating issue.

Glad it's all working for you now.

By all means use the "rc6-final" URL for demos, but don't use it for production under any circumstance. That's the QA server and the version that is in there changes constantly (and could break at any stage as it's a QA version)

I recommend downloading the latest RC6 OVA SWF directly from the OVA developer site via http://developer.longtailvideo.com/ova - register on there and grab the latest development release from the "Download the Latest" page and then place that SWF onto your server and reference locally.

That will be a lot more stable for you.

The RC6 version will be going into production early Feb and can then be loaded directly from the Longtail repository.

On the HTML5 point - agreed - working hard on it right now. If you aren't on the alpha test list, then drop an email to "enquiries@openvideoads.org" and we'll send out an update shortly on that... ;)
