Hello,
We are probably going to buy an OVA year license for JWPlayer5, but we wanted to test it out first.
For testing purposes, I am using a variation of this example code:
http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/open-video-ads/ova-for-jw-player-5/13689/a-pre-roll-ad-only
For the player embed swf, I am using this player:
http://player.longtailvideo.com/player5.2.swf
In my flasvars, I have this:
'plugins': 'ova-trial',
Question #1:
Will the above "demo" player give me all the same functionality as if I had purchased the OVA plugin?
Basically, we just want to make sure the code works before spending cash. :)
Question #2:
If we can't fully test the OVA code, I just need to confirm that OVA will allow us to load pre-roll bumper videos from OAS (24/7 Media, Open Ad Stream).
We just need a single video player with one bumper video play per video (with bumper coming from OAS).
Question #3:
Is there a money-back period? If we can't get OAS to work with OVA, can we get a refund?
Let me know if you need me to provide more information.
Thanks so much for the help! I am excited to get your products working with our setup. :)
Have a nice day!
Cheers,
Micky
Hi Micky,
Thanks for the questions - answers following:
1) ova-trial is a fully functional version of the commercial product - no code difference at all
2 & 3) We recommend using the ova-trial setup to fully test/configure your environment first. Once you are happy with the setup and know that everything is working, then purchase a commercial license.
There really isn't a requirement to purchase the license until you know that everything is working
If you struggle to get your setup working with OAS, post some questions here and I'll help you out straight away.
In addition, you may find newer releases of the OVA plugin in the developer repository (http://developer.longtailvideo.com/ova) - so if you are waiting on new functionality that may currently be in development, you are always welcome to grab the latest builds from there and test...
All the best,
Paul.
