Video pause on Overlay ad

Hi,

is it posible to add a setting setting to pause a video by overlay creative.

Hi Robin.. just so I understand your request - so you want to have a show stream pause when someone clicks on the overlay? (does the overlay have a click through URL on it as well?)

It’s not on the click but on the view

As example we will place a 336x280 as an overlay ad. If you see this size of creative you can’t see the original video that is still playing anymore. If would be nice if we can sent a pause command at the start of de overlay ad en after few seconds a start command to the player.

Hi,

Yeh, this type of interaction between an overlay and the player is suppose to be handled via a standard called VPAID - VPAID basically defines a player API that allows overlays to start, stop, pause etc the player.

I'm in the process of implementing VPAID in the framework and player plugins right now - will be out in the next release - your case seems a good example...
