Are you planning to support http://www.bbelements.cz/ this ad server?

Hi Peter,

We are keen to add support for as many different ad servers and networks as possible.

Saying that, the most important consideration when adding support for a new ad server is that it has to be VAST 1 or VAST 2 compliant.

Looking at the website I couldn't see any mention of VAST support, but it may well have that (for more information on VAST, see here - www.iab.net/vast).

If it supports VAST today then it may very well work straight out of the box with OVA (see the OVA configuration guide on how to make "direct" ad server calls to VAST compliant ad servers here - http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/open-video-ads/13054/direct-ova-configuration-guide)

Finally, if you have a contact with that company and would like to discuss further options/issues around directly supporting it, please feel free to email me directly at enquiries@openvideoads.org and we can go from there.

All the best,

Paul.

Thanks for replay Paul, i dont think that they support VAST but i found something like that: https://preroll.jottit.com/english is it hard for You to implement this?

Have a nice day!
Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the idea - but to be honest, we are keeping OVA as a VAST only implementation at the moment. Unfortunately we can't put proprietary ad call responses in the plugin.

A solution for you however would be to write a simple server side bridge - e.g. a PHP script or something like that to take a call to bbelements.cz using the API they have and convert the result to a VAST format (www.iab.net/vast).

It would all work then...

Paul
