Pre-roll video ads and D-Related plugin

Hi!

I've try to implement ads to my video and I was confronted with difficulties.

Initial condition:
JW Player 5.1.897 (licensed), ova-trial plugin, D-Related plugin and OpenX Hosted (adserver.openx.org)

I created "Inline Video ad" zone, added mp4-video to it and configured JW-player for pre-roll position for this zone - and this work fine.
But I have a problem with D-Related plugin: it start to display for short time (about 1 sec.) after the ads ends and before videoclip starts. And after the videoclip ends D-Related plugin display in the usual form.

In normal D-Related plugin should be shown after the videoclip ends, but not after the ads ends and before videoclip.

Hope it will be fixed.

I have the same problem... How can I detect player read the video ? And no Pre-roll ?
Can I use view.playlist in order to play D-related clip at the end of video?

Hi Vladmir and Mika,

Thank you for your posts. It appears that we have a compatibility issue with these plugins. Currently, D-related does not have direct support for our OVA plugin. We will reach out to the D-related Plugin development team to request an update, compatible with our OVA plugin, which should prevent this issue moving forward.

For the time being, we don't have an immediate solution, but will keep you posted on our progress.

As we don't have an immediate solution, I try to find a solution to this problem. But I hope that the D-related Plugin development team will find a great solution.

@Matias, unfortunately at this time we placed the initial request with the D-related team, but have not heard back on their progress.

Hi Matias, we are working on our on version of a Related Videos plugin. It's still in the development phase, but stay tuned!

Hi Meagan,

We are also experiencing the same issues with D-Related and OVA.
Do you have any updates on this?
Right now the only option we have is reimplement a similar plugin from scratch, but that's going to take a while, and I don't really like reinventing wheels :)

We can try looking at D-Related's source code and try to repair it, do you know where we could find it? (didn't find it at http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/browser )

Thank you for the Related-Plugin, which is great. Same problem here though with it popping up after a pre-roll ad (instead of popping up after the video itself showed.) Can you help with that?
By the way: The video is then shown in the background of the related plugin.
