Error #2095?

42 replies [Last post]

Hey all,

I'm absolutely stumped by this problem. I converted some Quicktime movies to FLV with the Adobe Media Encoder. Now when I try to play them with the JW player it immediately shows the error #2095.
An example can be found here: http://www.cineville.nl/films/kikkerdril

What does this error mean?

I have the same problem, it works for some people though so it seems like a more or less random problem.

Just now it seemed to start the clip but almost instantly it cut back to showing the errorcode.

I'm gonna try an older version of the JW player now, but I'd like some info about what could be wrong.

I am seeing the following using 4.4.173:

Error#2095 flash.net.Netstream was unable to invoke a callback on XMPData

It only occurs for certain videos.

Same thing happens for me, seems random for some videos. I initially thought it was related to Close Captions, but error persists even if I don't include captions. Player Version 4.4.173. Any ideas on what we should try to debug?

Error #2095 occurs on several videos. The only thing in common I can tell is that they are longer than others that do not incur the error.

player version 4.4.197

Error #2095
I tried a few .flv files none worked the only one that worked was the sample supplied with ZIP Conclusion don’t waist your time! Especially when you have to pay to use Professionally!

We just started seeing this error when doing a live stream using the JW Player. Any ideas, gang?

Same issue, not using streamed videos however.

I get this issue with Highwinds. If I keep refreshing the issue comes and goes. Sometimes it works but sometimes it gets the 2095 error as soon as it buffers. I have tried current stable as well as latest in trunk (4.4.204)

Any ideas?

Got my 4.4 to work with live streaming video.

Layman's Explanation and Fix:

#2095 pertains to the player requesting specific metadata and if it doesn't get it... the player gets pissy.

So, if you're streaming live video feed via Flash Media Encoder then switch to the metadata tab and remove all fields, also make sure you have timecode off in the encoding options.

And BAM! it should work.

Granted it kinda negates the point of those options on the encode, but at least its a temporary solution.

Crap. I am using Wirecast so I will have to see if that is a possible option. If not it is good to know I can call back to FMEL for my up coming live events.

oh, and im streaming from FMS 3

Hey guys,

Since this error turns out to be pretty frequent, I changed the code for the player so that it will not error out anymore when it encounters an unknown callback. The version that fixes this is 4.4.205 and it can be downloaded here:

http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/browser/trunk/as3/player.swf

(this is a download page, NOT the actual player page).

THat works fine but wher can i get a lienced copy with this fix.

we just bought a licenced version 4.4.198 now i get this error again.

he, it works. but is it a correct sollution to ignore the error?

wher can i get a lienced copy with this fix ?

yes i had thats error. i fixed it
please download player.swf on this link"http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/browser/trunk/as3/player.swf"
after replace existing one

When I tried to use this player version, the closed captioning stopped working. Is there also a new version that supports CC?

Are you using the Accessibility plugin or the newer Captions & Audiodescription plugins.

Have you reviewed the Accessibility Tutorila recently?

I am using the accessibility plugin.
It has been a while since i first looked at the Accessibility tutorial (back in January). I will look at it again.

Any word on this, still getting this error:

Hello

I get a licensed version of jwplayer (before I had an very old free version). And now I get some #2095 errors. Is there any way to solve the problem whithout touching the videos ?

Thanks ! :-)

Can you provide a link?

Hello Ethan LongTail,

I am facing the same issue "Error #2095" while streaming the video from amazon s3 storage using wowza streaming sever.

I am using multi bitrate streaming by using xml file.

Please check my test url : http://clients.basitsolutionsgroup.com/test/demo2.php

Note: I am using Licensed version of JW player 4.6 and Wowza streaming streaming server 2.0

Please let me know how to fix this issue.

Hello Ethan,

I have attached the screenshot for my issue. Please check it http://clients.basitsolutionsgroup.com/test/error_2095_screenshot.gif

I see a steam here working fine. Have you solved the issue?

Still , its showing error.

Some times it will play without any error. Please have a look on my embed code.

It looks fine to me...

Where can i find version 4.4.205

@poobalan - all old versions can be found here - http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/browser/tags

@Ethan LongTail

i do searched there but i found only version 4.4 and 4.5 like sequence. In tag, mediplayer 4.4, the version is 4.4.198. But i need 4.4.205. Thanks in advance.

    http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/log/trunk/as3/player.swf

Click on the release that you want in the Rev column.

http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/ticket/693 check this. Seems like it's a wowza and variable bitrate video problem. It 4.7+ versions bug should dissapear

I have the same problem with Wowza and the 5.1 mediaplayer version with variable bitrate.
