Press ESC to exit full screen mode.

23 replies [Last post]

I want to know how ...I want to know how to change this text on fullscreen "Press ESC to exit full screen mode" ? Thax u all

Adobe, creator of the Flash plugin, has not provided any way to change that message.

OK. I thought of that. Thax anyway

But... icyEDM i think that Macromedia was the creator of Flash plugin, not Adobe. Adobe just buy them. And that not meant that Adobe is creator of Flash plugin.... :)

I'm running an old Dell Dimension L1000R (2001) with LOW memory. I opted to view full screen & now I can't access my start menu OR get out of full screen mode by clicking F11 or ESC. Can any of you wunderkind out there help a 'puter idiot out? Thanks!

I don't even have clue where I might find a response to my question from anyone.

If you move the mouse the video toolbar reappears briefly. Click on the
fullscreen button and it reverts to non-full screen.

Thank you guys!

Hello Guys,

I'm also interested in translating the label "Press ESC to exit full screen mode"

Is this label managed at the Longtail JW Flash Player level or at an Adobe Flash component level ?

Is it possible to translate it from the source files of the JW Flash Player ?

Does anybody change this label ?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

The message comes from the Adobe Flash Player and it can't be localized (yet).

Thanks for your help and this answer !

Alexandre

Still no updates for that damn annoying black box message?

Comon Adobe, don't make me switch to AJAX again...

The text is not only annoying but it's blurry every time i go in full screen mode. It is funny, I use the latest version of mozilla and the latest version of adobe flash player plugin, however youtube videos comes with blurry text message "Press ESC to exit full screen mode" along with little red annotation buttons.
All other, yahoo, google etc videos comes with fine text in full screen mode, only youtube videos... which is very odd.

Open this link for your flash player settings
Click on Global Storage Settings Panel
Check the checkbox against Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer.

Restart browser
open youtube and you will be able to see the message disappear after changing to full screen.

Thanks youtubeuser, that solved my problem on Firefox. It's a relief to see that message disappear soon after going to full screen. I don't like the idea of allowing third party flash content, but to me it's much better than having to fool around in the Registry.

while playing moto time game we have pressed alt n enter to change the screen mode, then every thing in the desktop has been changed.how to reset the desktop

Truly crap that one has to accept 3rd party content for this stupid message to go away. Thanks for fix though.

Do you mean that the box with the text Press ESC to...
also is produced by Flash in the wmvplayer?

I tried this on my IE8.0 with Flash disabled (good for reading newspapers and most of the adds gone) but the box and the text was still there.

I haven't been able to find how or where the box is made in the .js-files.

Ideas?

i press full screen mode for youtube video but the full screen mode is okey but the text message refuse to go out what will i do?

I want to know how to change this text on fullscreen "Press ESC to exit full screen mode" ? Thax u all

That is controlled by Flash, and it is not possible to change.
