Trying for 2 weeks, without success...help!

3 replies [Last post]

I've been trying for two weeks , have read the tutorials and forum. I am still without success getting the player to work on my new page. I know I'm missing something but I am at a loss and ask for your help.

The page is located at:
www.pineriverpond.com/videotest.index.html

Please view the source and help me sort this out.
I want to create a simple page with a table. I want the player to exist in the middle column of the table.

I want to have the player have a right side playlist, preferably no thumbnails, just text.

All the files I believe are needed have been uploaded to the www.pineriverpond.com/videotest
directory.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Wrong version of swfobject.

Get swfobject.js v1.5 here: http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/#download

Everything else looks OK.

It's working, thanks to your help. (see link in my first post)

I want to do more. I'm not sure if it is a flashvar issue or a playlist issue.

1:I want to be able to place a couple of sentences (possible 2-3 rows, no thumbnail) in the description in the playlist.

Currently, it only shows 25 letters and spaces even though more text is actually in the playlist description.

2:I want to change the backgound color of the mouseover function in the playlist.

3: The height of the (1) item in the playlist seems too tall with blank space in the lower half. Any way to adjust?

Thanks for any help

The first row of most playlist tracks is used for the Title.
The second row of the Track is used for the Description (some skins allow for two rows of Description).

You can sample some skins here: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/testing

Detailed playlist documentation is here: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/FlashFormats#XMLPlaylists

The four "color" flashvars control all of the user settable colors of the player. See: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/FlashVars#Layout

The only way to adjust the spacing of the tracks in the playlist display area is to select another sikn or make your own.
