You Tube video in JW Player

5 replies [Last post]

I have searched the forum for topics about YouTube video in JW Player. I found a lot of them and tried every suggestion.
Bottom line is, when I use the setup wizard and add a YouTube video, it works perfectly in the preview. (javascript and embed)
It does not work locally (IIS), nor on my Web server (IIS). The movie won't start or I get an error message # 2086.
JW player works fine with every other flv file on my computer and web server as well.
I was wondering, does YouTube require a different MIME type?
It must be a server issue. Anyone knows the solution?

Do you have the YouTube proxy (yt.swf) in the same directory as the Flash movie (player.swf) on both of your servers?

wow, this wat the solution! Thanks a lot. Didn't know i needed the yt.swf file.

I am totally happy with that, but it seems yt.sfw forces the screen (not the video) to 4:3 size.

Anyone knows a solution for that?

Use the stretching flashvar in combineation with the player height & width to fill the displayarea.

Simply Amazing!!

Thanks you very very very much!

You're welcome — enjoy your JW FLV Player.
