Hi Luca,

Just come across your post.....better late than never ;-)

I too tried for a while to get the code to work on blogger and finally got the below code to work. You must replace the code below that refers to 'your player, your image your movie', with the destinations of your player, image and movie

<embed src="yourplayerdestination/player.swf" width="470" height="320" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="duration=34&amp;file=http://yourmovie.flv&amp;image=http://yourimage.png&amp;plugins=googlytics-1&amp;displayclick=none;" allowscriptaccess="always" bgcolor="undefined"></embed>

Blogger seems to have issue witht the embed thing...but ok with this code.

Good luck.

Hi Swainy,

your code looks very interesting, but I'm not expert about flv embedding ... I'm so much dummy on the matter ... however, I never seen before aorund on forums into sevaral similar code examples the "image" part of the code: please, could you advise me what do you mean as "image" ?

Thanks a lot in advance !

HI David,

Apologies for the delay.

The 'images' refers to the image that is loaded into the player before the movie starts, like a place holder. You can make what ever image you want, put it onto your server and direct the player to use it with this code:

I believe some players with automatically use a frame from your movie as a place holder, but in some cases the image isn't the right one, hence selecting your own image as I have here:

Hello Swainy,

thanks for reply and my compliments for your Web site.

Could you please to clarify me the meaning of flashvars="duration=34&amp; Is it "34" the duration time of the .flv movie ?? and, moreover this other part of your code example plugins=googlytics-1&amp;

Many thanks again for your help

David

Hi David,

Thanks for your comments re my site. It's amazing what you can do to a blogspot these days;-)

To be honest I'm not an expert on any of this and have only managed to get as far as I have with help from this forum.

So in regards to your questions:

Could you please to clarify me the meaning of flashvars="duration=34&amp; Is it "34" the duration time of the .flv movie ??

I copied this from the wizard page code. I'm not too sure how important it is as some of my flv movies are shorter and longer than 34sec and the player plays them just fine. I'm not sure if you even need it, try taking it out.

and, moreover this other part of your code example plugins=googlytics-1&amp;

The answer to this question is - google provides tracking reports for websites upon signing up with them. I believe by having this flashvar you'll be able to track how many times your movies have been played, with the results showing up in your google tracking reports.

You'll need to search on google for 'analytics', then start an account, and then search this forum for 'google analytics plugin'.

Cheers

JW FLV with Joomla. I tried to add JW in Joomla. but failed to do so.. Could any one tell me step by step on how to do it ;( ...

very dissapointed .. i ve been trying for 3 months still nothing working ..

Hi Swainy,

God bless you!
I am trying for more than... too many hours, to make JW FLV work in my Bloggers' blog. I already read hundred of pages, tryied everything and nothing.
Now I saw your "formula", so small, so easy! I tryed... and I could see, at last, JW FLV PLAYER in my blog!
But only the player... because when I click START, comes the message "Video not found".
But my video is there, in same directory as player, it is an flv file, I don't understand.
The image I choose (the FLV example preview.jpg) does not show neither.
What can be the problem?
I thank you for your help.

Hi Jose,

Can you please post your code and website address so I can take a look.

Cheers

Hi Swainy,

I tried your code in my blog for flash video embedding.

But it didn't work. Here is the code in my blog, please refer to it and try to fix it if something is wrong with it.
<embed src="http://www.4shared.com/file/91598348/185abaa8/player8.html/player8.swf" width="470" height="320" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="file=http://http://www.4shared.com/file/91598696/4c872b09/video.html/video.flv&plugins=googlytics-1&displayclick=none;" allowscriptaccess="always" bgcolor="undefined"></embed>
Please give me a reply at omkalika@gmail.com

Why to bother about add an FLV player?.You can simply put your videos to youtube and add them to the blog by pasting the code in the post area.It is also possible to customize the player to suite for your space and design.I have already done it.Please check me at
