Can't get it to work

Im using joomla 1.5.8 (with legacy and php safemode off), i installed the plugin correctly!
I created the folder : public_html/images/stories/audio
I have put and mp3 file there called 'test.mp3'.

I have added the code:{mp3}test{/mp3} in my Home article, but it doesn't work.
I can't see the player on my site, and I don't hear any music.

The plugin is published and no errors whatsoever.
Can someone please help me, i've been trying for hours now!
