Resize and placement of plugin icons

Hello, how do I go about resizing and/or relocating a plugin icon on the JWPlayer player? For example I am using the Facebook and Tweet plugins, they are too big for my player, I want them smaller. Also I don't like the way they are located vertically to each other, I would rather them in a horizontal layout side by side and at the very top of the player? I am sorry if this has already been asked but I have done a search and could only see instructions for developers. Thanks.

Is this possible or not?

@Jamie -

It is possible to create a custom skin for certain plugins which support skinning:

However, the Facebook It and Tweet It plugins are not skinnable in this way. As for the layout of the dock icons, there's currently nothing built into the player to allow you to customize this.

Thanks for the reply PabloS. Is there any plans for this in the future? I t would be a good idea. Seriously if you have a look at those two icons used together, which I think would happen frequently, they look quite ugly as they do not match in size. The facebook thumbs up image is wider than the twitter image even though the containing box is the same size. You could at least ask that the plugin authors stick to a certain width and height, i mean you want the player to look pro right? because right now those plugins make it look amateurish in my opinion even though they function fine.

something I forgot to say is that I think the twitter icon used looks great, the facebook one on the other hand is fat and doesn't even look like the original facebook icon because of this. Can't you ask the plugin author to fix this? It would take only a few minutes to whip something up in photoshop or whatever and it to his plugin.

Another way to go is to allow us to host the plugins on our own sites instead of having to make external calls to some server that could be running slow and hence slows down our pages. That way I could upload my own icon to use.

Anyway for now I just won't use them.

We'll soon take over development of these plugins and update them ourselves. One key item then is indeed to have the buttons look good when placed side by side.

Note you can run your own plugins. Instead of listing the string "fbit" in your code, you can simply link to the location of a plugin (e.g. "../assets/fbit.js").
