Hi Luc,

There is no way to change the watermark without modifying the Flash source but you can use the logo flashvar to put a logo on the player, which is similar.

I have downloaded your player and like it very much. However, a "JW Player" logo appears in the playback. Since we are a non-profit, we cannot use commercial advertising. Is there a way to disable the ad? If not, we regretfully will not be able to use your nice product. Hope you can assist. We'd like to use it.

There is a flavar called "logo" for the player.

logo (undefined): location of an external jpg, png or gif image to show in a corner of the display. With the default skin, this is top-right, but every skin can freely place the logo.

You would add it in your embed code - for example &logo=www.yoursite.com/logo.jpg

For the past 3-4 hours, I have been reading everything I could on your site, to try to determine what a FLASHVAR is. I just can't figure it out. I see no file or script presently loaded on my presently installed JWPlayer to give me a clue. Could you be a bit more specific as to what flashvar is, where it is located and how it would be used?

Is it a new file to upload, a customization of an already existing file? I am wanting to try the d-related plug in.

I have downloaded the zip file. Am I supposed to upload all of those files, replacing or deleting the previous ones?

Also, what do you mean by "embed code"? Mine only says:

None of the words listed in the examples seems to be on my call-up page. What to do? Thanks.

To use the plugin in your player, add the name d-related to the plugins flashvar.

What does this mean? What is "the plugins flashvar"? Where would it be found? What does "add the name d-related" mean? How and where is it accomplished?

To display correctly, the plugin needs path to the related clips XML. This is set with the flashvar called dxmlpath.

What "plugin"? Is this referring to a file? What file? I see no file named "dxmlpath." Or, am I supposed to type a path in some file? Sorry, but the readme is not clear to me.

Plugins flashvar is in your embed code. It would be in your flashvars line "&plugins=drelated-1"

I am a webdesigner and want to use the JW Player in projects for my customers. With my "old" commercial licence I could use the player on an unlimited number of websites. now there is a limitation of 25 max. Can I still have an unlimited licence? I don't want to count, just a flatrate like in the "old" time.

I created a gif -- logo.gif -- and placed it in the "player" subdirectory.

I then added &logo=/player/logo.gif
in the embedded string.

The video plays fine and all, but the logo never shows up.

I have re-loaded, cleared cache, but no logo.

What am I missing? I am using version 5, by the way.

What should I do to get the logo to show up?

OK, I got it to work. But, one other question, please.

Is it possible to place an ALT tag somewhere in the image-rotator code, so that a message could be shown with a mouse-over? If not an alt-tag, is there any other way to show the typical message that comes up when using an alt tag? Thanks.

I do not believe you can use an ALT tag in the rotator.

I need to add a watermark on the player, so i don't have to modify all my videos, i tried to modify almost every fla i found, and in some cases i added the png and there is no way that the logo appears.

Finaly i tried adding "&logo=/player/logo.gif" (with my own direction) in the HTML in the flashvars place, but it stills dosen't work.

What i'm doing wrong ? it have to be a comercial player so i can add watermark ?

I'm trying it in a private network, no internet.

but i refresh (delete ) the cache of the browser, but it still doesn't work.

With the free version i'm able to put a watermark/logo?

You are using the unlicensed version, and you need the licensed version to use your own logo.
