Do we need a license for our user group website?

I am the Media Secretary for the Inland Empire .Net Users' Group (http://www.iedotnetug.org). This is a group of Microsoft .Net developers that meet once a month in Riverside, California.

We have started to record our presentations and would like to use your Silverlight JWPlayer.

Because we are mostly funded through sponsorship we do have several ads on our website from our various sponsors.

Would we require a commercial version of your player? Would you be willing to sponsor our group allowing us to use your players and add-ons in exchange for your logo on our site?

Please let me know.

Thank you!

Hi Matt,

Even thought this is seems like a non-profit, the addition of ads on your website make it commercial endeavor.

We are not interested in doing a logo/banner exchange, sorry.

Please email me directly at ethan [at] longtailvideo [dot] com to follow up if you have any other questions, thank you.

Best Regards,
-Ethan

You got paid for this work I am assuming, so yes, you need a license, since this is a commercial endeavor.
