Do I need licenses?

3 replies [Last post]

I have a number of clients for whom I maintain websites. One is a self-employed magician, another an author, another a speaker, another a dog breeder, etc. Do sites like these require a license to play videos using your player?

Jim,

Yes they do.

For example, the purpose of dog breeder's website is to promote his or her services (selling dogs) and this, in turn, is a commercial endeavor.

Best,

Darjan

OK, I want to buy a multiple license package, but I intend to use some of them down the line (I am a website developer...), not initially. When I went to your form, you are asking for domain names. I don't know what some of the domains will be because it depends on which of my clients may want videos in the future. Please advise

The 10 site license is intended for webmasters who own 10 domains and want to use the player across their network of sites. This license is legally bound to "one person/company". In other words, you can not resell it to your clients.

If you are a web developer, you need to purchase single site licenses to obtain an unique license for each and everyone of your clients through the reseller program.
