I'm implementing a video that my client wants to have scrub along the timeline with mouseposition...
i think this is probably easier to incorporate inside flash, but wondering if it's possible to do with the JWPlayer...
any ideas?

The JW Player doesn't currently support this, but it could be done via an actionscript or javascript controlbar. We've already got the later (http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/tutorials/JS-Controlbar), which you could edit for you own use.
