How to use lightbox / slimbox

5 replies [Last post]

Hello,
I am a junior in flash and media. I managed to get my video working well but I would like it to be shown in a lightbox way. Is that possible? I presume it is but I just can't figure out how to do that / what code to use.
The code I use at the moment is shown below.

I someone could help me on this I would be very pleased.

Kind regard,

Marcel

height="480"
allowscriptaccess="always"
allowfullscreen="true"
flashvars="height=480&width=640&file=/video/video1.flv"
/>

Hello Anderson,

I already did that, but I didn't find any info that says how to do it. Or I am missing something due to lack of knowledge.

If you could help me on I would be very pleased.

Kind regards,
Marcel

Lightbox is implemented here for the JW Image Rotator ( same code works for the JW FLV Media Player ).

But a warning — the code is a big mess because I was trying to get HighSlide implemented — never did.
Just pull out the sections of code needed for Lightbox.

Hello reader,

I will try your advice positionmaker. Thank very much.
In the mean time I found out that making use of a lightbox is not that easy as I thought. I'ts not a plug and play thing. I tried Mediabox and Videobox fortunately it didn't work but I think that is because my lack of scripting knowledge.

Thanks,

Marcel

BumpBox is a pretty good alternative for a lightbox, however it uses FlowPlayer instead of JW Player.
