Coverflow - Imageflow - Fisheye - Integrated ?

4 replies [Last post]

Hi ! First, let me thank you for this great player ! I love it and my members love it !
But, do you think it's possible to integrate inside the player a coverflow (iTunes style) for the .xml loaded files ? I know there is the posibility to draw thumbnails from the list, but something like Imageflow, coverflow, etc... would be so much more attracting.

I even found an example showing an website with Coverflow and flw player, but that would require good programming skills to be integrated. I think the flash player can do this on it's own, and 10 times better.

Some examples i found:
http://www.deliciousiceland.com/
http://www.giantbomb.com/
http://www.varsisstudio.com/coverFlow/

Here is an example including sources:

Thank you in advance !

Hi Daniel,

I'm working on such a plugin, it will be available very soon if it gets accepted by Longtail Video.

Kind regards,
Wesley

Look at the Flash player interface used at dailyfilm.tv: Play any video, and notice what happens if you "scrub" the video ahead or back. It is somewhat like a coverflow effect, except that it's a directory of keyframes within that video, rather than keyframes representing different videos. It's a very convenient and intuitive way to navigate through a video that you may want to review parts of.

Twice, I have emailed dailyfilm to ask how this is done, but I never get a response.

Does anyone on this forum know how it's done? Custom code, or maybe a commercially available component? Please share.

Hi charles,

i saw the same on http://www.commandandconquer.com/classic,

the payer comes from http://www.ooyala.com/ (I think).

However if anybody can make this for the jw player, i woul be really thankfull :D
