I've seen this feature on the XMOOV player that you can scroll through the videos time line easily.
I tried looking around but couldn't fine it. Anyone got this to work with JW Player?

@SP360:
This is a result of progressive download vs streaming. You can definitely scrub around your video if it's streamed. Progressive download videos can only be scrubbed in an area that's already been buffered.
@Ken:
We don't update the current time with scrubber movement, as some playback methods don't support streaming, and hence the time might not update when you click around. IF you'd like to autostart at a specific time, I'd suggest setting the start flashvar, which will start playback at a specific point in time.
I've been working on such a plugin for player 5.x. :)
I submited the plugin few days ago, it should be available soon.
You can already read some documentation about this future release called "Time Slider Tooltip plugin" on my blog.
It won't make the files faster to load, but once loaded, you can easily navigate to a particular time location.

We're using the JW Player in an educational environment with video files up to 30 minutes long and MP3 files up to 60 minutes long. In our quizzes and exams, we provide remediation for incorrect answers that gives the student the location (time) in the teaching session where the correct answer is found. The JW Player allows scrubbing on the timeline, but the playhead location (time) doesn't change until you let go of the playhead controller. So it becomes a hit and miss attempt to find a specific location.
Is there a way to get the playhead time indicator to follow the scrub? I've seen that feature in the Wimpy Player, but I want to stay with the JW Player--it's a better all around player in my opinion.
