I was browsing through the longtail.com tutorials (located under the support ->tutorial menu) and was really impressed with some of the topics. However upon trying to follow them I noticed that quite a few were either incomplete, broken, or referencing missing files.
The ones that I am really interested in appear to be broken are:
JavaScript API Examples - this one appears to attempt to link to a lot of examples off site that give page not found errors. This is also sad as it looks like all of andersen's example sites are now offline and they were my #1 source for cool js jw player tricks.
JS Controlbar - Claims "Setting up the JW Player's JavaScript controlbar is fast and easy. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be up and running in no time!" but yet references a bunch of files that are either missing or named differently. Also doesn't appear to give the code to actually implement the project.
JW Box: The JW Player Lightbox - same problem as the JS Controlbar.
I have been really impressed with the JW Players and would love to be able to try out some of these tutorials as they seem like they would be very powerful and helpful.
Is there anyway that these tutorials can be updated?
Andersen's examples have gone offline due to an ISP issue. We are working with him now to host them on http://developer.longtailvideo.com/. We'll let you know when they are live again.
We'll take a look at the issues with the JS Controlbar and JW Box. Thanks for the feedback.
