No youtube feed plays

7 replies [Last post]

I have found a few threads of people having the same issue although I have seen any clear explanations or solutions, forgive if there is a thread with a solution that I missed.

Has the youtube api recently changed, thus the longtail flv player doesn't seem to play the vids anymore, although the playlist and inital thumbnail show up fine?

Are there any solutions, workarounds or ideas to fix this?

Thanks.

Strange, so it appears to be happening in Safari on the mac (version 4.0.3). I tried the player in a different browser and it works fine.

Hi Mike,

This is Ethan from LongTail here to help you.

Can you link me to where you are running our player on your site so I can take a look at your implementation so I can better help you?

Please email me directly at ethan [at] longtailvideo [dot] com to follow up if you have any other questions, thank you.

Best Regards,
-Ethan

Hey guys, we are having the same issue...

Everything was working fine the other day...we are still developing the site, but haven't done anything to the plugs or players:
http://www.silvercordcafe.com/video/osho-a-buddha-will-be-misunderstood/

We have the audio plug "revolt-1" installed, so it is ending up playing instead of the videos? If you press "pause" you will see the freeze frame from the youtube videos though??

Thanks for any and all input! (yes, we are license holder).

OK...just read this post here:
http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/forum/Bug-Reports/15479/JW-flv-player-partially-loading-video-i...

and tried the site in IE and it is working???

That is weird ;)

I have FF and FireBug running, so that must be it...BUT...it was working fine just a couple days ago???

Please advise.

Thanks again.

Hi amprodes,

The videos seem to play fine for me on my computer. I checked in IE 6, IE 7, and FireFox 3, and I am using Windows XP, Latest version of Flash.
