Video keeps buffering and pausing every 5-10 secs.

114 replies [Last post]

I'm having a problem with ...I'm having a problem with the video taking forever to load, then when it loads and buffer, plays for a little bit then begins pause and buffer then play, and so on..

This happens the WHOLE time..

I'm wondering, what do I need to do in order to get the buffering to stop so I may watch the video in full?

BUMP*****

I have the same problem and it is really annoying.

Can you post a link to the troublesome video so someone can test it and determine if it is a server or a client problem?

Hello Jeroen,
you can also use your wizard to reproduce the problem.
Clear your browser cache and set the following flags:
controlbar=none
autostart=true
repeat=true

After "Update and Preview" you can see the buffer logo every 5 seconds.
The same settings but with controlbar - no problem.
The old version 3.16 hasn't this problem!
Thanks Tom

Here the wizard code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.jeroenwijering.com/embed/swfobject.js"></script>
<div id="player">This text will be replaced</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject('http://www.jeroenwijering.com/embed/player.swf','mpl','470','320','9');
so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always');
so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true');
so.addParam('flashvars','&file=/upload/flash.flv&controlbar=none&autostart=true&repeat=true');
so.write('player');
</script>

Seems to be fixed in the latest release.

If not, can you tell me which OS / CPU you use? I don't think it is an issue of autostart/repeat.

Also, did you try increasing the 'bufferlength' a little?

Amen. I do not know whether to hate google video, my hughes satellite, whatever movieshower comes with microsoft; but every few seconds i am forced to wait for buffering though sometimes i do not have to! Damn them all!

Why can't we just have a choice such as "no damn buffering! i'll take it substandard!" i have gotten to hate all people connected to computer services and softwear for their cruelty to the public: we never get a choice. It goes back to mac with the damn cherry bomb next to "OK?"

"Increase buffering" -- as if there is an easy-to-find place to do it! It should all be obvious, you guys! When we watch something a right click should give us the choices so we can chose to do what we want to, period!

hi, that wizard code where i can insert in my web site, near swf file wich place insert code

please give me ur answare

As i have the same buffereing problem, and have only just got a computer and been on the net for the past couple of days - i really wish that i knew what the hell you guys were talking about! Could someone please tell me in leymans terms how to solve me wee problem sonny?!?

Oh my god i hate bloody pausing vidoes!!!! This is really driving me insane - I only want to watch "Mr Hanky the christmas poo" on you tube, it,s not like i'm asking the earth now is it?!?

Ye, buffering is annoying, it's either to do with your own connection, or to do with the bandwidth of the server that the video is been hosted on. If you're on a static connection then it's got to be the server that the video is hosted on and the amount of people using it. (Assholes, they should all fuck off when i want to watch a video!!!!)

Fuck them all!!

i have the same and my I.S.P. says its "lack of resurses on my computter"?but we have two . one p.c. with vista(512RAM) and the other is a note book with X.P. on it with 1G.B.of ram.allso the vista P.C. uses "ready boost" but they still insist its my computters at fault!!!(virgin A.D.S.L)

fuckin ruined my night of movie watching online

a classic pacino deniro duet of modern movie making brilliance ruined by buffering one day we can all hope for a better future of pause-free movie relaxation

I have the same problem too but I found out that once a one vid buffers the others r alright ..

Also it might sound weird but this dnt happen at night time only during the day and it happens on utube

Terrible!

video buffering not good

Are you using a CMS module to embed the player? (like Joomla for instance)?
I had the same problem when using that. I know embed the player directly and it works great.

how can i slove this plz say

This happens to me all the time when I try and watch various tv shows online. I notice it mainly happens when I try and watch House but when I watch other shows it barely happens. I have tried watching (House) from various different websites to see if one would be better and it doesn't seem to be the case. How do I get the videos to buffer to 100%? Approximately how long should that take for an hour long episode? It is really annoying trying to watch something and it stops to buffer constantly and sometimes never fully does. I would rather not watch House with a stuttering cast.

Any suggestions (aside from watching it on the ol' tube since I don't have cable) and can you give me directions in very basic non computer literate terms?

Thanks so much!!

There is still an issue somewhere with buffering... When the video is paused it buffers FAST, but when its playing, it doesnt buffer fast enough. It seems as if there is bandwidth throttling somewhere!

hi,
pause the video and see that a colored line is moving a bit further when the line gets over you can play the video.

i wish some one would solve this problem, pausing it will not solve the problem because many sites other then youtube often only allow a small amount of buffering at a time, so it will still end up freezing after a short period

Actually, if you use HTTP streaming or download, the entire video will be downloaded. So the pausing does work.

In general, frequent buffering means the bitrate of your video exceeds the bitrate of your connection. There is a workaround in the "bufferlength" flashvar. Set it high (e.g. to 10 or 15), so a lot will be buffered before playing.

a note for JeroenW. Thank you for trying to explain the buffering problem---- but what the HELL is a flashvar--- and how do I find the mentioned "bufferlength" "flashvar" setting option????? Every time a computer geek tries to help with a situation, they never include complete instructions of HOW TO GET TO THE SETTINGS!! What's with that. but we do appreciate you TRYING to help... you all just need to learn how to teach! thanks for listening!

same happening with me keeps buffing! sooo annoying
can some1 explain propley what to do

you need get highspeed to it buffout fast!!!

tis seems not helping me..
my problem is in asp.net page...
the video will stream faster if i access using broadband and if i using landline , have to wait for a quit long time..
any one can help ah...
really desperated...

I mute the video until it is completely loaded. In the meantime I click on another window and read email or play solitaire or do house things and come back. You can count to ten only so many times, ha

This is not an internet speed problem. I'm on a huge, reliable connection. What I'm experiencing is (a) choppy video and (b) video that loads much faster when paused.

I have several servers recording and hosting video in my system and only one has this problem. The only thing I can think of is that I've got different ffmpeg versions encoding the video on each server and from the problematic server, JW player has a hard time handling the video due to some subtle encoding difference. It's working so hard to decode video for display that it's negatively affecting download speed.

Thoughts?

I have no ideas where the problem lies. I'm even on bitgravity's CDN, which has just amazing performance.

When I use JWplayer, latest version with type=bitgravity, my mp4 performance is just horrid! Whats really strange, is that when the video is PAUSED, the video will download REALLY fast, but when playing, the download slows dramatically.

This has been an ongoing issue, with several people expressing similar problems, but I have not gotten to the bottom of this problem.

I almost have no choice but to rewrite half of my damned website, and just use bitgravity's native mp4 player (which seems to work flawlessly.)

I DONT want to do this, how can i help fix jwplayer???

mines the same when i go on you tube it keeps buffing every 5 seconds and its so annoying why does this happen julie

up a to a couple weeks ago ' Free Movie Land" Had a site that looked an arrow and there was NO BUFFERNG
you could watch the part 1 and 2 with no probs.now I cant fined the site 9/7/09

Need help!! I cant watch video on youtube without the video buffering every 2 seconds.

Please help!! What could it be?

I have a Windows Vista

I had the same problem. Unplugged my modem. When I plugged it back in, my internet connection was faster and videos didn't pause to buffer.

I have a Mac and PC and both won't play videos without buffering.

I'm wondering if it's my dsl connection.

make sure your adobe flash is up to date and your java is also if not remove it and redownload it,...also if you are useing broadband thats an issue too, roadrunner works pretty good but the wireless broadband is another story adobe reader can also help some but makes your computer vulnerable to hakers. free up some unused file also on your computer by deleating them in your control panel add remove programs.check your virual memory also!

Mine keeps doing the same, but it also does it with music. It happens for a day or two and then it suddenly goes away and then it comes back.

I'm having the same buffering problem as every1 else, read the comments... and I still have no idea what to do to fix this problem!! Could some1 please help me!

i tweaked every pc setting possible based on advice on the internet - nothing worked. someone adviced me to change my cable modem. it worked. before, my downloading speed from the internet was 300+kps and streaming video buffered every three seconds. after replacing the cable modem, my download speed averaged 9000+kps. streaming video is now lightning quick with no buffering issues whatsoever. try it. it may be the solution to your problem.

What do u mean by that? How do u change it?

cable modem what is it and how does it work,at least what cable and where do i get it.

i agree with mich we need help uuuurgently with this buffering problem.

This problem has been fixed for some time. If you're still having trouble, please post an example of the page demonstrating the error.

Dont download anything new on "updates" from java, thats how they are stopping us

Java updates shouldn't affect Flash

i have embrarq, dsl fast connection and this just started happening to me like 2-3 days ago its rly annoying any suggestions to fix this? plz reply :D

Hi there guys and gals...I have similar problems and have heard (on the grapevine) that enabling Java Script (or maybe disabling it) can give improvements. It might just be another Urban Legend though. Please, any non overly technical help would be much appreciated.

youtube buffring too slow.

hi i am haveing a problem to and my computer wont just play a video it keeps buffering and never stops i downloaded the latest flash player and it still wont help soemone please help me. if u have ansers please amail me at chellabella856@aol.com

There is also a blog dedicated to this problem :

http://www.youtubestopsafter2seconds.com

Mine does the same thing and its on every website disney, nick, cbs, youtube, anything that has a video to play, it will buffer for 10 seconds then it just keeps doing it. On some I have to click on the time bar 5 seconds before the place where the buffering starts so it will skip that part but then it happens again. It pisses me off I have 5 signal bars and my computer has 3G in the computer so I don't think it's a problem with the connection because mine is great. My computer has 1GB (its a mini laptop) but I don't even have 1/4 of the space used ut of 127.80GB I have 13.24GB. Please can someone smart help me I am desperate!!!!!

Hello all,

If you're havign trouble, please post a link to a page demonstrating the error. It's very difficult to diagnose the problem without any context.

wanna watch super hero squad and keeps buffering thing

hi, i have a feeling this is due to connection speed and size of content being buffered.
Youtube low quality content is fine, but when I got to www.vbs.tv for example and try to watch one of their 20 min shows, the buffering spiral (little swirly thing) in the screen comes on every 20 secs or so.
If I leave the thing to play, then come back and re-play it is ok. this however means 40 mins to watch a 20 min show. Daft in anyones language.
I'm on vodafone mobile broadband with claimed 3mbps but more like 400kps to 1.5mbps.
i've an 8mth old lappie with all mod cons running vista, cant be bothered listing out, but the hardware shouldn't be the problem

so i had this problem where youtube would always stop and buffer every 5-10 secs or so, and trust me i had no clue what i was doing but if you dont want to get all technical and go buy stuff all i do now is when i open the video i pause it and wait for the bar at the bottom to load all the way to the end of the video. in the meantime i just either watch tv or browse websites, etc. i think my problem was the video would catch up to how far it was loaded so it would have to buffer to get loaded a bit more so you could watch it, and it would catch up again, buffer again, etc etc

I have Vista Home Edition. It worked fine. Then I started playing online flash games. Now Youtube doesn't work, the browser is slow, sometimes text looks distorted if I scroll down too quickly, etc. For some reason, when you play online games, it does something to your drivers or your registry or something. I have found that the internet is fine for researching information, but if you want to play games, it's best to have a separate computer entirely, which you don't use for anything else except games. Back it up frequently!!

this is too bad to make buffering in every 5-10 secs.
i am requesting you to clear this problem.

HI Guys,I'm a webdeveloper and I know how it is soooooo I'm going to make it easy for you.Here is how you cure the problem.
PROBLEM: CHOPPY OR BUFFERING VIDEO THAT DRIVES YOU CRAZY.
1- Go to "Control Panel"
2- Click on "Java Plug in"
3- Look at the tabs and click on "Cache" tab.
4- Click on "Unlimited".
Once you have done that then reopen your browser and click on F5 to refresh it. Then go to your favorite site and watch your favorite video to your hearts content.J.

PS=Apply your button change in Java Plug in before reopening your browser.In other words hit the apply button at the bottom of the Java plug in.bye.J.

jeanne G., can u please explain how to get to the cache tab because all i can find is java in my control panel but when i open it there is no cache tab please help thanks

Hi...
I was watching a movie in Itunes on my laptop, I have a Mac. And when there was 10 mins left it stopped and wouldn't play, but if I rewinded it, it would play. I don't know what the problem is. So if you could if help me that would be great.
Thanks

I have a video at http://www.barriej/com/player/newyork2.html

I have tried to modify the buffer length but cannot get it to play without it pausing and buffering again. Have tried 15, 25, and 30.

I know it is a long video. Is that the problem?

Thanks,

Sorry - can't access that link. Can you please repost?

You set bufferlength to 25. It works, you have to wait 25 seconds for it to buffer.

I have set the bufferlength to 10, 15, 25 and 0. I still cannot get the video to play without pausing. Is there an optimum setting to get the video to play smoothly?

I believe the default is 5, which works in most cases.

However, your site works fine for me.

i had the same problem and fixed it by putting my cursor over the battery icon in the bottom right corner.
right click and change to balanced or high performance. not power saver. your welcome if it helps

so does anyone know how to fix the buffering and pausing on youtube viedio and music I'd like to fix it

I think you need to get a faster internet connection ;)

Setting the power setting from energy saver worked great for me.. Thanks a million skeptical...

nelpeg screw you i have 15 mb speed wirelesses and i still get this problem so stfu

ay guys try this website you get stuff for free check it out its real cool and its virus free :D

<a href="http://www.points2shop.com/?ref=alexlopezrocks"><img src="http://www.points2shop.com/images/promotionbanners/users/points2shopbannercharliecrow1.gif" border="0" /></a>"

the material you are trying to watch frequently buffers, then it means that you are not maintaining a fast enough connection to our servers to watch our content at the speed you selected. Try increasing your buffering rate in the player:

Windows Media Player 7 or above

1. Open the Windows Media Player.
2. From the Tools menu, select "Options."
3. Select "Performance."
4. Under Network Buffering, select "Buffer."
5. Adjust buffering to "30 seconds of data."
6. Click "OK."
7. Close and reopen your web browser.

RealOne Player

1. Open the RealOne Player.
2. On the menu bar, select "Tools" and then scroll down to "Preferences."
3. In the Preferences window, select the + icon next to Connection.
4. Select the "Playback Settings" option.
5. Locate "Buffered Play" under Playback Settings.
6. Adjust buffering to "30 seconds of the clip before playing."
7. Click "OK."
8. Close and reopen your web browser.

thnx : add me at facebook . ammarhashemi@hotmail.com

im not enjoying using my computer coz of damn buffering..how the internet provider dont make an action(orange.fr)

video keeps buffering every now and then - plz suggest what is needed to be done

Can you provide a link?

To dawn and also to all the others having this buffering problem: Just NOW I was able to fix my own problem re: buffering - thanks to Jeanne G. I followed her instruction, although it's not exactly what I found in my system - I think i had the same system with dawn.
in my Control Panel I found only Java ( not Java plug-in )
By the way, I'm using Windows XP prof. Click the Java Icon and then click the Advanced Tab and there you will find among others 'Java plug-in" click it and select the box to enable the next-generationjava plug-in. That's it !!! Open a new browser and see for yourself result on your favorite You Tube movie as I did myself.thanks again to Jeanne G.Just returning the favor - Good luck

If you download "Mozilla Firefox" (free) you should be able to view your videos with no problem.

I was thoroughly frustrated with the buffering every 5 seconds too.....Thanks for all your notes/shared data. I could not find the "Jave Plug In" that someone mentioned.....so I just did an update to Java thru the control panel/add pgms and rebooted. problem is solved. No hesitation as I look at videos now.

Mann this very serious problem to me this buffering is causing me trouble every time when i watch a video. How can i ever get rid of this?......

@Manula , can you provide a link to the issue?

my computer keeps doing this when i already deleted every book mark i had :( wht should i do i barely started today ugh !!!

I also has the problem, i let my friend to help me.

I have the 2 second buffering problem too, I am really fed up with my laptop, it's new and it has a problem already. I have the Norton Firewall and have been scanning incase I have a virus or worm and they is none, why doesn't this buffering stop and let me watch video streaming in peace.

I have tried you tube, BBC iplayer, Sky player, British Eurosport Player always the same cannot view any content just full of buffering, never able to view the content.

I am going to try the Java plug in/Cache set to Unlimited (fingers crossed I can find it), or to enable the next-generation java plug-in, Norton did say to click on Java new version download but I ignored it, now I am paying for it, never like to download stuff when I am online as I figure it will only use up more memory and slow the damn laptop down further, crap technology.

Im getting this constant buffering action even when the video is loaded. Ive tried clearing everything, hardware/nohardware. Its fucking rediclous. Ill pause the video, wait and it will play fine for about the time i have it paused, but will then buffer and pause again, even with the ENTIRE video loaded. WTF.

This keeps happening to me as well it shows the vid then buffs and were it shows how much it loaded were u click to go to a certain part of a video looks like a loading bar its always maxed out yet the video keeps buffing and wene i press somewere before the part im on it buffs again its annoying

All of my settings are what is recommended, yet when I try to watch something on Hulu or other sites for TV shows, I still get the buffering. I am going to try to restart my computer, since I played a Java based game for many hours. I will update if it works.

Still a fail. Trying to watch an episode of Burn Notice on Usanetworks.com, and it keeps buffering still.

AHA! I got it!

UPDATE REALPLAYER along with all other tips here= VIDEO WITH NO BUFFERING!!!

Setting the battery power level to high performance worked for me.

Especially since I had the problem in both Firefox and Explorer browsers.

Click on battery icon in lower right corner (Vista), and click on high performance option.

Unable to see Video - either buffers constantly or simply shows a white screen. Unable to increase/decrease volume on Windows Vista on three different computers.

http://www.cvwebpages.com/directory/index.php?act=view&id=1681

@Caveman -

I tested this using IE8, and had no problems. What browser are you having this issue with?

The browser is IE 8. The buffer issue seemed to have been a slow connection at the time. However, there is an issue with the volume control. I am not able to increase or decrease the volume using the volume control on the player as seen on this screencast...

http://www.screencast.com/t/ZTU5ZGZmZjUt

By the way, the OS on the above post is Windows Vista.

@Caveman -

The volume issue was actually a known bug in 5.0. It has been fixed in version 5.1, which is scheduled for release within the week.

Thanks. Good to know. I was able to get the audio working using .flv files. The youtube video link had the audio problem and .mp4 video does not stream. It plays only after it loads completely. Is that how it's supposed to work?

youtube keeps pausing help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Caveman -

The mp4 issue is probably related to how your file's metadata is embedded (Flash expects the metadata to be at the beginning of the file, but some encoders put it at the end).

If that's the issue, this tool should help: http://renaun.com/blog/2007/08/22/234/

Hi ppl

I have been trying to catch up with flash foward on the channel five player --> link: http://demand.five.tv/Episode.aspx?episodeBaseName=C5148790011

But if i just let any of the episodes on there site play staright from the start to the end without pausing it at all it will buffer vertailly even 10 secs! ever buffer is about 5 secs so you can imagion how annoying this is. So i do the old trick of pausing it as soon as it starts going away for half an hour come back and play. On slimair sites such as iplay or chaneel 4 od this always seems to work, but for some reaosn on this site on my comupter with my internet connection the vidoes will always buffer and the whoile process of jsut watching one 40 min show will take at least 3 times as long becuase i have to keep on pauseing it and leaving it!! It is so annoying! does anyone know what eles i can do? And is anyone eles finding that channel five tv on demand is slow for them as well?

We have a similar issue.

Our network connection is fast and the CDN we use is also very fast.

If we use a different player software the MP4 video file does stream properly and it starts playing after 2 - 3 seconds.

If we use JW Player 5.1 it needs much longer to start (~ 10 seconds) and it's buffering and pausing every 5 - 10 seconds.

It's a very strange behavior. With JW Player 5 it did work with the same file without this problem!

@Silvio -

Please post a link to an example page which demonstrates this problem.

I did test today the latest commercial release (5.1.854).

This version works without any problems.

Thank you for your help!

OK PEOPLE LETS TAKE IT EASY.I KNOW IT CAN BE VERY FUSTRATING.

SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM. IN THIS WORLD NOTHING IS FREE THEIR IS ALWAYS A CATCH.

ANYWAYS LETS GET DOWN AND SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM WHEN REFERING TO BUFFERING.

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO INVEST A SMALL PORTION
OF YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SLOVE YOUR PROBLEM..

THERE ARE NUMEROUS TECHNIQUES YOU CAN APPLY TO THIS ANOYING PROBLEM

FIRST YOU NEED A GOOD MONITOR WITH A HIGH RESOLUTION AND YOU WANT TO SET YOUR RESOLUTION TO 1920X1080.THATS WHY IS IMPORTANT TO BUY A GOOD LCD MONITOR .THE HIGHER THE PIXELS THE BETTER THE QUALITY OF YOUR DISPLAY.

YOU DONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON A PASSIVE MATRIX THEY RUN PRETTY CHEAP BUT IS NOT WORTH BUYING. FOR ANYBODY THAT WANTS TO WATCH INTERNET TV THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY.

SECOND DONT ASSUME EVERYBODY WHO OFFER INTERNET SERVICE KNOWS WHAT THERE DOING

THESE WILL WORK

HULU FANCAST INFINITY AND TVNETO.COM

AND THIRD A MUST. A GOOD COMPUTER WITH A POWERFUL PROCESSOR THIS MAKES LOTS OF SENCE BECAUSE THE COMPUTER WILL GAIN GREAT PERFORMANCES IN SPEED AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM WILL BENIFIT.

STEP FOUR

CONSIDER IN BUYING A PCI VIDEO TUNER HDTV CARD HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO PCI EXPRESS THAT WOULD BE BETTER AND WILL INCREASE THE SPEED OF YOUR PC MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT CARD FOR YOUR PC.

NOTE - BECAUSE I RECOMMEND A HIGH RESOLUTION LCD MONITOR THE VIDEO CARD HAS TO BE COMPATIBLE TO YOUR LCD MONITOR AND CAPABLE OF WITH STANDING THE HIGH RESOLUTION.

THESE TUNER VIDEO CARDS WILL IMPROVE YOUR PICTURE BUT THAT IS NOT THE PURPOSE FOR YOU GETTING IT. YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO RECORD TV PROGRAMS OR CAPTURE TV PROGRAMMING HDTV CABLE OR ANALOG.

FIFTH STEP

OPERATING SYSTEM

ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS GO AND DO SOME RESEARCH IN CHOOSING THE CORRECT ONE.
IF I WAS IN YOUR SHOES I'LL CHOOSE WINDOWS XP MULTIMEDIA EDITION

BUT BECAUSE THE REASENT CHANGES TO NEW OPERATING SYSTEMS I WOULD SURELY LOOK AROUND. SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

STEP SIXTH

BROABAND WIRELESS

BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GET THE STRONGEST SIGNAL IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR CABLELING TO A MINIMUN OR TAPE UP AND APART FROM CORDLESS PHONE ESPECIALLY THE 2.4 MHz BECAUSE THE INTERFERENCE.

IF YOU COULD KEEP YOUR WIRELESS CONNECTOR CLOSE TO YOUR WINDOW YOU WILL GET A VERY GOOD SIGNAL.

And this will conclude my advice. Good Luck and happy shopping

youtube keeps on pausing it never used to every 2 sec it pauses its really anoying i dont get to watch my favouroute turkish films so if you no wats wrong dont forget to tell me please i really need to know why . if you know send a message write away on this website.

Overall it's a function of $. We the consumer r being prompyed to buy new and improved hardware/software because Adobe wont allow anything older to function like it should. piss on u guys, Flash needs to go away. give a choice of options, no buffering ever thats the way it should be, no excuses. wait! this is 2010, it seems 5 yrs ago I could watch anything on media player with no problem. Now right click on flash player! camera options? setting with, what the hell are they, mouse over does nothing remove this crap & allow funtionality. give me a job Adobe, I'll fix it. WTF

buferring problems... any solutions please...

My youtube also keeps on pausing but not buffering. What shall I do ? It stops like evr few seconds and i am getting so annoyed with it !!! AAAHHHHHH

I had the same problem and figured out that a codec (ffd show)on my pc was causing this. Here is a link that might be helpful http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=217747.
After you find your configuration utility for "ffd show" In the box where it says "Dont use ffdshow in:" I use firefox for my browsing, so i put inside that box "firefox.exe". This seems to have fixed my problem. If you ever need this codec to work in firefox just remove it from that list. If you use internet explorer and so on put in the box explorer.exe.
Good Luck!

Guys, Im glad to see that Im not the only one suffering with this fucking issue. I had the same problem with USTREAM, Youtube works fine, red, porntube also lol. Justin.tv works great, but with this JW player and USTREAM the video couln't load at all, got lucky a couple of times and it loaded 5 seconds and then gave the endless buffering.
Now, I've donde what Mr Todd Badger said above but still no luck.......

I get realy annoyed when I can't watch catch up programes on my computer, it's been buffering for two whole days now and is very disappointing.
Can you fix this please.

ohhh i have that same issue why!!!????

Raise the resolution on your monitor by right clicking your desk top, choose properties, settings tab and move the bar to the highest setting. Hit apply and this should fix your buffering problems. I had the same buffering problem.

Raising your monitor resolution should help. Right click your desk top, choose Properties, then Settings Tab, then slide the bar under Screen Resolution to the highest amount and hit Apply. This worked for my buffering problem.

I have a problem watching movies or playing music .. everytime I do it skip/pauses for a second or two , then plays again ... Its not the buffering.. I feel like everytime I watch a movie I have too pause it until the skipping stops .. If someone could help , I could apriciate it thx
