What is the need for the mandatory AAC Audio & H.264 320px templates for Audio & Video files respectively? If there has to be atleast one transcoding, why not let us select the default ones?
Does AAC format play on all platforms & devices? We are at present transcoding using another mp3 template and using that.
Since i need watermark on my videos, i was forced to create another template with 320 width. Can you allow us to add watermark on H.264 320px template?
I feel the extra transcoding will unnecessarily add up to our platform usage cost. Can you please confirm if this is true?
AAC will play on most modern devices (I don't know about older ones).
Right now the default template as is is required for a media file to be active and streamable at all. We're planning on making some changes that will allow more flexibility with respect to what the default template is and how it should look, but I don't have a definitive time frame for this yet.
