Streaming/Transcoding Issues with Certain Browsers

I just uploaded a couple of test clips to my BOTR account.

When I play them on the iPad and in IE, they look fine. However, when I try playing them in Chrome and Firefox, the video looks really poor and blurry.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be something to do with the original file settings?

Do you have Flash installed in all browsers?

(if Flash installed unfortunately that doesn't mean that all browsers are covered, because Internet Explorer has another mechanism than all other browsers).

You can find out what version of Flash you have installed by going to this page in the browser where you are seeing the issues: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I just installed the latest version of Flash on both Chrome and Firefox and still having the same issue.

When the page loads, the screen shot for the video looks normal (clean, sharp), but when I press play in Chrome & Firefox, the video quality is awful.

Same video plays well in IE and on an iPad.

Any other ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks.

BTW the key for vid is lPo81ZAv

This video works perfectly fine for me both on under Firefox and Chrome, so I'm afraid I have no idea what might causing those issues for you, but I suspect that they might be very specific to your setup that causes the video player to switch down to a lower bitrate when using those browsers.
