Monthly Purchase?

Hi, we have been testing and like the service. What is the "One Time" purchase option? It has a monthly fee, is that recurring? Can I add that to my existing account or do we need to create another account and start again? It seems I can use it to make a bulk purchase which we would prefer, I just want to make sure I am doing it correctly.

Hi George, we don't have any monthly plans, all purchases are one time balance purchases that run out over time. I think you're talking about the platform usage fee, which is in units of GB-month.

This effectively means that if you manage 3 GB, over the cause of one month you would use 3 GB-month (and if you were to buy 10 GB-month of platform usage you would be good for about 3 months and 10 days in this case).

OK great. So if I buy the advanced package for $99 and go through it, I can buy it again correct?

I was getting tripped up on the "Introductory" , basically, I'm looking to fund the account at the best volume price. Can I also ask you to look into email alerts, I don't seem to get them as the account was reduced before.

The monthly package can only be bought once, after that our <a rel="no follow" href="https://payments.bitsontherun.com/ratecard/">normal ratecard prices</a> apply (where higher volumes bought at once result in a lower price per GB).

As for the notifications: we only send notifications to accounts that have their email address verified.

That email verification link was in your welcome to Bits on the Run mail. The easiest way to get another email verification link will be by changing your email address and changing it back, since each email change will set an account back to "unverified" and trigger another verification email.

I understand what Delivery of the Video charge is... and I understand what Storage of the Files is... What is Platform Usage, exactly, because as of right now, it makes no sense to me.

Platform usage covers all our costs of using our video platform even when no videos are played (so converting of videos, hosting of players, thumbnails and videos etc. etc.).

Platform usage is based on the combined filesize of your videos. That means that if you manage 3 GB of videos, we will deduct 3 GB from your platform usage balance over the course of one month in smaller chunks of 100 MB per day.

Hi,

2 questions

1) About video delivery purchases. Do the gigs that I purchase expire or are they good for as long as I have an account and I am paying for my platform usage?

2) One of my fears is that if I don't purchase enough gigs up front and one of my videos goes viral, it would be a catastrophe if it stopped streaming because I didn't have enough delivery gigs pre-purchased. What can I do to assure this doesn't happen given the unpredictable nature of video traffic?

2) We email balance notifications whenever your balance hits 1, 10, 100 and 1000 GB thresholds, so you can replenish in time.
