Your spam filter drives me nuts !

3 replies [Last post]

I have just spent a l-o-n-g time researching a problem and writing up some questions about it. I have spent what seems like an equally long time trying to get it posted here and having the forum software tell me that I have triggered the spam filter !

No clues as to why or how to fix it, or to what the rules are. I tried removing all the links (which are mainly to LTV pages) but this has not worked.

Can you help please ? This is really annoying !

Thanks,

R.

@ Roger, can you explain what you were trying to post? This will help us isolate the problem and find a fix for an over-sensitive spam filter. Were you posting a url? If so, can you send us the address. In fact, better to email us at support [at] longtailvideo [dot] com, with exactly what you were trying to post so that we can replicate. Thanks so much, and we're sorry for your frustration.

Meagan, many thanks ! You have mail.

My post was quite long - I split part of it off in to a response in another thread, but what was left was still quite long. It did have links in it though they were mostly to other LTV pages. I have now reduced this to just one which is to an example page. I also used 3/4 HTML tags.

I am sure most of what I ask about is on your site somewhere, but as I noted in my post, it's sometimes difficult to translate JWPlayer examples to BOTR application.

Hope it all makes sense. Thanks again for your help.

Roger

Oh yes, I was trying to put it in the "video player" category.
