Streaming not working anymore since upgraded to Flash 11

Hello,

I was testing embedding my playlist in my page this morning. It was working fine until I upgrade the flash player to 11 version.

I reverted back to 10,3,183,11, but it still does not work.

Any suggestion to fix this issue?

Thanks
Elsa

This works correctly for me, I expect something else is the matter with your machine.

I would recommend that you go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ in the browser that you're seeing issues with to make sure you're installing the latest version of flash for that browser, and possibly you might have to restart your browser or your computer after.

Thanks for testing. I am sure I have the latest version 11.1.102.55 (I reinstalled it). In fact it appears that I can seek only when HD is off. Our player uses a progressive download with a passthrough (flv 1050x900). So maybe I misunderstood something with the video format. Can I seek anywhere in my video if I am using the passthrough?

If you force passthrough, there is not even any guarantee that playback works, let alone more advanced features. If you want seeking to work you should use bitrate switching or a single mp4 conversion generated by our systems.

OK. The problem that we have is that the template 1280px is not created if the video is not at least this size. The 720px is very blurry and cannot be used as HD.

At least we now have the good practice for future videos but we need to publish all our previous videos again.

Some of them are 1200 x 900, which is very close to the limit size you have. That would be handy, if we could manually transcode to 1280px template directly on your site and this would add black border.

Anyway thanks for your help.

You can allow upscaling in the template details (this can be done in the account tab). This would introduce some amount of blur too, but it might be tolerable. I'm afraid it is not possible to fill up the image with black borders.

Oh I did not know about this template page. Thanks for the tip.
