Mid roll in live streaming and pause/play actions

Hello,

i want to display mid roll ads in a live streaming.
Currently only pre roll ads are working. The problem with mid roll ads is described in this post: http://bit.ly/lhdiNG

@Ethan LongTail provided a solution where you need to set duration to a really high value.

But the problem with that solution is that you can't stop or pause stream and hit again play button. In other words, you can hit the pause button and afterwards you can't hit the play button and resume with playing the video stream.

Is there any better solution to display mid roll ads in live streams?

Another question is, is it possible that mid roll ads stay displayed until user clicks on close button (button x) himself? Currently ads are automatically minimized after few seconds.

And some suggestion, it would be great if ads are displaying while video is in pause state.
