hi:
i have some flv encoded from my old Brightcove account, and i have some newer ones i've exported out of QuickTime. The Brightcove flvs play fine, but the Quicktime exported clips don't play at all in the wordtube version of the player. Locally, both play fine. The difference is in the encoding as below:
FILE 1 - working
Stream: Flip_Clean__Clean.flv
Path: /brightcove/Flip_Clean__Clean.flv
Duration: 0:01:17
Data Size: 5.70 MB
Bit Rate: 0.62 Mbps
Video Tracks:
Sorenson H.263, 480 × 360, 24 fps, 572 kbps
Audio Tracks:
MPEG Layer-3 Audio stereo, 44.1 kHz, 48 kbps
Stream Files:
Flip_Clean__Clean.flv (5.70 MB)
FILE 2
Stream: onlinetv_trailer.flv
Path: /videos/onlinetv_trailer.flv
Duration: 0:01:02
Data Size: 6.31 MB
Bit Rate: 0.85 Mbps
Video Tracks:
On2 VP6, 568 × 320, ~29.963 fps, 725 kbps
Audio Tracks:
MPEG Layer-3 Audio stereo, 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps
Stream Files:
onlinetv_trailer.flv (6.31 MB)
So is the only supported encoding Sorenson?
Also - images are not centering on the player, no matter what setting i choose - fill, none, etc. They are loading to the top left corner, so not centered.
We've set up our player so it fills the div of the blog - width 575, height 320. With two clips, (brightcove), this works fine - image is centered (480x320), video works.
And, why does the auto play button not work if set on the player settings for single post?
And, why does setting the player in the player settings to width 575 height 320 not work? i have to hard code the line [media=11 width=575 height=320] to force it in each post.
And, do i have to create an image 575x320 with a transparent background to place the watermark logo where i like, or do i have to take the player into flash to do that?
love the player, just needs some tweaks.
:) m.

What version of the JW FLV Player are you using?
Can you post a link to your test page so someone can give you some useful and effective help?
And some live links to the video files so they can be analyzed.
