Viral-1 plugins don't work with 4.2

17 replies [Last post]

Hi,

I try to use viral-1 plugins but don't work :

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="460" width="900" data="http://www.sternwebdev.com/oz/player.swf">
  <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
  <param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
  <param name="movie" value="http://www.sternwebdev.com/oz/player.swf" />
  <param name="bgcolor" value="" />
  <param name="flashvars" value="image=http://www.sternwebdev.com/oz/bunny.jpg&file=http://www.sternwebdev.com/oz/bunny.flv&skin=http://www.sternwebdev.com/oz/overlay.swf&frontcolor=ffffff&lightcolor=ff0000&controlbar=over&stretching=fill&plugins=viral-1&viral.callout=always&viral.onpause=true&viral.link=http://www.myspace.com/lepaysdoz" />
</object>
</div>

What'is problem ?

Thx

I.

Seems to work fine with v4.2.90, except for the onpause which doesn't have any effect.

What release version of the player are you using?

@ilanb -

I noticed you've set allowScriptAccess to "never" and allowNetworking to "internal". In order for the Viral plugin to work correctly, you'll need to set allowScriptAccess="always" and allowNetworking="always". Give that a try, and report back here if you're still having problems.

I have the same strange problem:

if i use swfobject code it work great (but not onpause function)
example here:

http://www.tecnopc.info/video/code.html

But if i use embed code, (the same link) it work only in firefox but not in internet explorer 7
example here:

http://www.tecnopc.info/video/embed.html

i'm using release 4.2.90

P.S. (the same problem are in 4.1 and 4.2.88, but in these two release instead, work onpause function)

Can you help me?

Hi,

@PabloS

I use allowScriptAccess to "never" and allowNetworking to "internal" on myspace because he accept only this !

@Klink

Seems to work fine with v4.2.90, except for the onpause which doesn't have any effect. Work for me too but not on myspace :(

myspace limitation Grrrrrrrrr

Thanks all

nobody has the my same problem? viral in embed code works for you with internet explorer 7 ?

hi sainsuper,
i have the same your problem
viral in embed code do not work with explorer 7

can't get viral.onpause to work

I have the players loading a list and repeat:"always",.since the onpause does not seem to work it throws the embed code over the player between every video and holds it there while the video keeps playing making the video underneath un-viewable and therefore this plugin is of no use to me.

This is very poorly done plugin. It doesn't work in IE7, so what's the point ? That's currently the world's most popular browser. This plugin should not be allowedon the site.

Why silent this topic? Yet a problem!
I have the same problem as that of SainSuper: (
I do not know how to

This plugin stop my midrolls and I get "NaN"
for player height

still no solution? this is useless if it doesn't work in IE6, IE7 or IE8.

Is there a solution this is correct when using embedd code doesnt work in IE7 please post correct code

Still no solution?
Viral functionality don't work in IE if it is embeded! We can use JavaScript on our sites, but if someone use embed code to put it on his own site, Viral will not work. Any predictable solution?

Wow -- I can't believe the Viral developers don't think this is a problem worth addressing for over 9 months! Flowplayer gets on things like this within days. For shame!

So go use it and see if we give a Flying Fuck!

One less "Village Idiot" to contend with.

Thanks for your considered reply, graciously offered after nine months of non-responsiveness to what even an idiot could see were defects in this plugin. You couldn't more clearly demonstrate your sterling character, still less your interest in user feedback and developing a better product, if you tried. I very much doubt you did.

Stay classy.

Thanks for further demonstrating your low IQ, moronity, and trailer trash talk.

You have truly qualified for the 2009 Village Idiot award!
