No Analytics

Good Day,

I am not sure if I have done the right thing, although, according to the instructions it appears right.

I am using the following code:

'plugins': {
   'gapro-2': {
   'trackstarts': 'true',
   'trackpercentage': 'true',
   'tracktime': 'true',
   'idstring': '||FILENAME||'
   }
},

When I login to Analytics, I see a bunch of Unique events, but nothing about the videos. Can anybody help?

Thank you,
Darren

Can I see a link?

Sure,

http://www.cfni.org. Click on a video in the center page. It loads an iFrame in a lightbox.

Thanks Ethan.

The code looks fine and I am seeing the GA calls here.

Make sure to look at the right place in the events section in your google account. There is more info in the pdf guide - http://www.longtailvideo.com/jw/upload/LTV-GAPro2-UserGuide.pdf , please be advised that it can take 24-48 hours for google to update.

That's where I am in my analytics, but I have a flat graph, although it says 733 Unique Events.

Unless the 733 events are something else? But regardless of if it is something else, I still have no named events to view.

For example, in the user guide it shows under "Top Events" , "Video Plays", but on my Analytics that section is blank. It keeps saying "There is no data for this view."

If I switch my analytics to the "Old version" I also don't see any data there...

How can I tell if the GA calls are being sent for the correct domain? I assume this would be auto detected based on the URL the person is accessing. Or something else?

Thanks.

Hmm. How long ago did you implement this?

I purchased and added the plugin January 20th.

Ok, it can't be that then...can you click in further to the unique events? They should be in there.

I am not sure what's going on, i'm getting different numbers now. I manually defined the dates from the 20th and now I get 443.

Is there anything under "Event Action"?

Reply

No sir. There is nothing under any of the "Top Events" links..

This is where they should be - http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/addons/google-analytics-pro/10649/google-analytics-plugin-repor...

The only thing I can think of is this lightbox iframed implementation is breaking something...

Yeah I'm not getting that at all on my Analytics pages...

Question, should I have the regular GA "script" at the bottom of that page or would the ga-pro2 plugin take care of that?

Thanks!

Yes, you need that on the page as well when using gapro-2

Okay...that code is in there...hmm..

I will see if we can recode our site to not use iFrames and see how it goes..

Thanks for your help Ethan.
