Skin causes IE8 to freez

in IE8 and below the player causes the entire browser to totally freeze for about 10 seconds. I have tried many different skins and it appears to affect all skins. The problem is only in IE and does not affect Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Etc....

Here is a video that will cause IE to lock up for about 10 seconds and is basically the same player config just commented out the skin....

I have looked around and saw where users were experiencing the same problem but I didn't see a solution.

Can you please provide any guidance...
