Hi! My skin works fine except for in fullscreen mode, when the the control bar background is not at 100% opacity, like it is in normal mode. Is there any way to remove this feature?

Just a clarify, the back MovieClip is not att 100% alpha when the player is on fullscreen mode OR the controlbar='over' parameter is set. I've been looking through all the skins that are available on the JWPlayer site and they all exhibit this behavior. I've been looking through the sourcecode to the JWPlayer, but I haven't figured out what causes this to happen. Anybody know how I could solve this? I'm suprised nobody has had this problem before.

Matti, Steve -- Could you include a link to an example where this is happening? I'd like to see it as you see it.
Thanks!

You can see mine from the wizard. The wizard was set-up as follows:
1. Flvplayer with a single video
2. Embed parameters -
source: http://www.thirdgroove.com/player.swf
height: 390
width: 640
Layout -
skin: http://www.thirdgroove.com/3Gcustom_skin.swf
I also have other problems, like the "link" button for my logo on the far right of the controlbar. (I actually tried to use the schoon fla source, but still have problems because it doesn't work or show up in full screen).
If I can clarify anything, please let me know. Thanks, Bill.

Bill,
I have a commercial license for the JW FLV 4.6 Player. Should I try to apply my skin elements into JW FLV 5.0? Will the license rights carry over to 5.0? I am willing to try 5.0, but I will have to figure out how the skinning procedure differs. It may be better than fooling around with Flash, but I do own Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop and Fireworks. All CS3.
I am better in Illustrator, Photoshop and Fireworks, but I can get by with Flash. Maybe the 5.0 procedure is easier for skinning?
Thoughts and recommendations?
Thanks, Steve

Steve,
I'm going to have to get back to you re: The 4.6/5.0 License, but I'd definitely recommend trying the Image skinning in 5.0. It's far easier and faster to rapidly prototype.
Go take a look at the skinning guide here:
http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/Player5Skinning
And download the Player 5 beta to test it out. Also, you can enter the skin to win the $500 Grand Prize in the skin contest!

Thanks, Bill. I would like to know about the v5.0 license question and I don't see a Link button reference in the docs.
I do see a Blank button, which states it's for 3rd party plugins, but I may want to use a unique button (3rd party) and a Link button.
First and most importantly to me, how do I use a Link button? And secondly, if necessary, can I use the Blank button for linking to a website URL?
Steve
