skinning errors with flash CS4

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to modify a skin using a trial of CS4 that I downloaded from adobes site. What I am attempting to do is resize the thumbnails from 100x80 to 80x80. I downloaded the stylish skin and opened up stylish.fla in flash. I then clicked on the bottom until it selected a box where the album art would be. From here all I did was drag it's width from 100 to 80. I then ran a debug on the script and nothing came up. I tried to load a playlist into the flash and adobe flash player 10 comes up with an error box with the following error:

Does anyone have any ideas on why just resizing an exsisting box on a flash skin would cause all these errors?

Flash CS4 appears not to be playing friendly with the skinning. I tried publishing modius skin and the playlist gets all broken after just moving one item or resizing something. On the upside I updated my flash to the latest version 10 adobe had on their website and it cleared the TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. errors. Appears that the flash player that comes with the cs4 trial may be buggy as it is a slightly older version of 10.

Try compiling the player itself (without skinning) - i think the problem is not related to skinning but to CS4 in general.

Please also make sure you named all textboxes + the "image" movieclip. They should each have the correct name set in the "properties" menu in CS4.

I noticed the same... that compiling works fine in Flash CS3, even after failing in CS4. Any idea if this is something that can be fixed, on my end? Me thinks this could be related to this "XMP" information that gets stripped out when saving to CS3. But then again if that where the case you would still be able to compile in CS4 with a CS3 file and have it work. Hmmmm....

i'm having the same problem. if i output any of the sample skins and try to use them with the player i get these error#1010. this is without changing anything in the fla. the swf contained in the skin distribution works fine, but when i output from CS4 i get the errors. hmmmm...

Same problem with a registred version of CS4. I don't have problems with skins and save as version CS3. But I have all the above problems like: TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.at com.jeroenwijering.plugins::Playlist/buildList() ...
when I want to modify something in the original player. I've tried to remove the rightclick about and aboutlink, whats working fine as long the user doesn't have the flash player 10 plugin.
I hope that someone have a solution for these compiling errors

I'll download a CS4 trail and export a skin from it to see exactly what goes wrong here. I've seen multiple threads on this now, so something clearly is wrong.

Not working even if I save the fla as CS3 or try other gimmicks. Looks like all CS4 owners have leave this player alone... *sigh*...

So, let me get this straight. If I have Flash CS4 there is no way I can create a custom skin at all? And nobody has found a way around this?

This is such a bummer. I'm going to have to find another mp3 player now as no custom skinning option is a deal-breaker for me.
