Unexpected file format in CS3

I'm trying to open up the .fla source of the licensed-viral player, but in Flash CS3 I get the error message "Unexpected File Format". I know there was another post about this, but nothing in that thread helped me. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution?

same problem here - i downloaded the licensed version and CAN'T open the source fla-file in flash cs3 pro. can someone please help? is the fla file for flash cs4?

I tried to open a flash file in Flash CS3 it says
"Unexpected file format".

Nothing helped me. Pls help and give a solution
