With version 4 - can you do a preroll prior to every item in a playlist and lock the scrub while playing the preroll. Here is what I need, a playlist, and prior to each item whether continuous or not, a preroll is played prior to every video. Can this be accomplished with 4 and can you show me what the playlist would look like using RSS?

Also, can these prerolls (commercials) not be shown in the playlist?

This can be accomplished. Add the tag <creator>commercial</creator> to your XSPF playlist in every item that needs to be blocked.

Unfortunately, these items still show up in the playlist. I'll have to think about a way to fix this...

Jeroen,

First I just want to commend you on a great piece of work this player is!

I'm also looking for a pre-roll.. something i can throw into the user at the first time they start-up the player and see the company logo before watching some other videos.. so I'd really be interested in knowing how to do this hidden pre-roll that is forced to play but doesn't show up on the playlist.
Thanks for working so diligently on this!

my god, this is pathetic... so the support for commercial playlists have been deprecated (as from the ticket resolution)? Just so we can buy the plugins, even though we've payed the commercial license for the player? This is ridiculous.. let me guess how things went... there was the support for commercial albums in the xml playlist in the 3.x players... now "it's gooone" ... but then you saw you are getting popular with the player.. let's abuse the users to the max... well done!
