Was there a solution for this situation? I'm just where these folks were - using AllVideos Reloaded in a Joomla 1.5 site.
I have my commercial JW Player license and I'm ready to add AdSolution and, would love information on how to proceed.
Thanks,
Greg

I recommend using HWDVideoShare or Seyret since they already come with our AdSolution pre-packaged.

Thanks. Shucks. AVR is working so well and SO easily.
Thanks anyway.

You could always add the AdSolution code to the plugins flashvar. Does AllVideos allow you to add custom plugins?
Dec. 21, 2009Greg
It does - in a simple interface that is customizable on a "per video format" basis. For example, "Add 'plugin X to all .mp4 files' and 'plugin Y to all .mov files'.
Unfortunately, it appears that the player swf (in AVR, "mediaplayer.swf") does not include the latest features of the longtail player.swf and, without it, AdSolution doesn't seem to run.
I hope that AVR will continue to be developed and incorporate the latest player.swf capabilities.

Hi Greg,
You can replace the player.swf included with AVR with the one from our site - http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/ and it will be the latest version.

Just wondering if we have to change also the swfobject.js with the one provided with the last version of JW Player or if it's better to let the 'old one' installed wih AllVideo Reloaded...
Dec. 28, 2009Ethan LongTail
What version comes with AVR?
Dec. 29, 2009PAul
It's the 3.16 version of JW Player
Is it better to keep the 'old AVR' swfobject.js ???
Dec. 29, 2009Ethan LongTail
What I mean is what version of swfobject.js comes with it?
Dec. 30, 2009PAul
Oops...
;-)
SWFObject v2.0
I see also that we should do some modifications to the AVR code as it uses parameters that don't work anymore ('overstretch' no more supported and replaced by 'streching').
Between 3.16 and 5.xx versions of JW Player are there many changes ?

Paul,
There are A LOT of changes between 3x and 5x player.
For example, with 3x player you can not use any of the plugins or the skins.
Cheers,
Darjan

Yes you are right of course !
But I asked my question in a way to know the 3.16 version parameters (vars, etc...) that are no more supported in 5.xx version...
;-)

They are - http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/ImageRotatorVar (same variables for 3X players and image rotator)

Ethan are you sure about this URL ?
I get "Page ImageRotatorVar not found"...

Sorry, it is - http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/ImageRotatorVars
