You can reinforce your branding by watermarking your content, e.g. with the logo of your company or show. Within Bits on the Run, there are two ways to do this:
Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages. Below sections explain both methods in-depth.
This is the most flexible and interactive method to add branding. You can add a distinct watermark to every video player setup. This is done in the player details pages in the Dashboard:

Since every player can have its own watermark, you can create lots of variations (different logos, colors, sizes etc). The watermark can also get a click URL, so it can be used as a call-to-action for e.g. subscriptions. Last, changing the watermark on live players is done by simply editing the player in the Dashboard. The moment you hit save, your live players are updated.
The downside of this method is that your logo will not be visible in direct downloads of a video, e.g. if you distribute your content to iTunes.
To burn your logo into the video, you have to edit your transcoding templates. These can be found in the Transcoding tab of the account properties. At the bottom of the template details page, you can set the watermark:

Every new video you now encode with this template will get the watermark. Since the watermark is hard-coded into the video, it will always be visible. This is a good way to keep your branding intact if you make videos available for download.
On the downside, you can not make this watermark clickable. More importantly, changing or removing a watermark is quite difficult, since it involves deleting and re-encoding all video conversions that use that watermark. We do not automatically re-encode all your existing videos for you if you change a transcoding template.
