Is my player compatible with your AdSolution?
Our AdSolution works without any customization with the following media players:
- Pre-roll: All hosted and embedded FLV players, all JW WMV Players (Silverlight) and all DivX Players.
- Overlay Mid-roll: JW FLV Player 3.16+.
- Post-roll: JW FLV Player 3.13+ and all Agriya players downloaded after February 20, 2008.
Does your AdSolution work with custom players?
Yes. If you have a specific question, please contact us. We might not have time to help with every customized solution, but we'll try.
I can get the pre-roll ad to work but not the post-roll ad. What's wrong?
If your player is not hosted locally, then you'll only be able to run pre-roll ads. For post-roll ads to work, your player must be compatible with our solution and run on your local server. Check the list of compatible players above.
After installing your solution, the full screen button no longer works. How come?
This problem only effects older versions of Flash, which have a known bug that disables full screen mode when using WMODE. If you download the latest version of Adobe Flash, you will be able to view your videos in full screen.
The post-roll ad is flickering or seems to appear behind the video. What's wrong?
You probably haven't set WMODE equal to transparent.
- If you're using SWF Object Code, then the code should read:
s1.addParam("wmode", "transparent")
- If you're using Object Code, then the code should read:
param name="wmode" value="transparent"

Likely you haven't set autostart to false.
- If you're using SWF Object Code, then the code should read:
s1.addVariable("autostart", "false")
- If you're using Object Code, then the code should read:
param name="autostart" value="false"
Can the video start automatically when a user clicks "Close Ad"?
To enable this feature, you need the following variable in your player code:
- s1.addVariable("javascriptid","nameofmyflvplayer")
Is your solution compatible with SWF Object?
Yes. Just make sure that your last parameter writes to "Mediaspace" as follows:
Should I delete my existing div tags when I add the new Mediaspace tags?
Yes. Just make sure that you write to the new Mediaspace div tags as follows:
Does your solution work on people who embed my player on other sites?
No. However, due to heavy demand, currently we are working on this feature and hope to release it soon.
I'm embedding the player on the page, but I'm having problems. Any suggestions?
When using embed code, allowscriptaccess and wmode have to be separate parameters away from the flashvars, as follows:
- embed src="http://YOURSITE.com/flv/player.swf"
width="500"
height="350"
wmode="transparent"
allowscriptaccess="always"
flashvars="height=350&width=500&file=http://
What ad types do you support?
For pre-roll and post-roll ads, we support GIF, HTML, iFrame, JavaScript, JPG, PNG and XML. For overlay mid-roll ads, we only support XML.
I am using the JW Player's built-in playlist, but it is not working. What's wrong?
Currently, our AdSolution is not compatible with the JW playlist functionality, but we are working on a fix.
Can I paste the API script tag that you have provided me between the head tags?
Due to security reasons, the API script tag must reside below the player. The best location is directly above your ending body tag.
Should I place the enableJS variable in flashvars or as a separate variable?
If you are using flashvars, then yes. Your code should be:
- Flashvars="enablejs=true"
If you are not using flashvars, then place enableJS as a separate variable. Your code should be:
- s1.addVariable("enablejs", "true")
Note: it will not work if you place it enableJS in both sections.
I am using phpMotion, in what file should I edit the player settings?
In one of your include folders, there is a file called "inner_play.com". You should make the changes in that file.
Is your solution compatible with SWF Object 2.0?
We expect to enable this functionality in the next couple months.
Can I change the colors of the Mid-Roll?
While we plan on releasing this feature in the not too-distant future, it is not yet available.
Can I change the Colors and/or Text of the Pre/Post -Rolls?
We can do it in the backend for you. Just contact us.
Can I run my own ads as Mid-Roll?
Not yet, but stay tuned.
What CMS's are you compatible with?
We are compatible with any CMS as long as they are using an updated version of the JW Player or Agriya Player without any kind of modification. That means that phpMotion, Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, etc.
all qualify.
